Raver Inspired Outfit Designs

These 3 designs are based on a 'Raver Tracksuit' they focus on bold primary colours, pin stripes and puffy jackets. I have included the iconic raver hairstyle, 'space buns' into my drawings with glittery makeup and matching trainers.

The 1st design features a bold luminous crop top and short set with a jacket. I have styled the hair in my design half up half down as many ravers go for this look. I have used different hair colours and different coloured eyeshadows and bindis. The second design focuses on the idea of Body Paint. I am torn between the idea of luminous body paint and baggy bright coloured clothing. My 3rd design features a crop top with baggy trousers and a baggy wrap overlay in fluorescent colours.

These 2 designs focus on looking at the outfit as a whole. Included are a two piece suit, bucket hat and trainers. I have included brands such as Nike and Adidas, typical brands of what individuals where to Raves currently. Many, usually boys wear the typical 'bucket hat' or 'cap'.

These are more summery festival raver outfits, focusing on simple clothing items. Currently, wearing a choker and a nike cap to raves is in fashion. I have included the iconic symbol of the rave- smiley face that was printed on many tops in the 1980s.

Go Go Graham SS16

This collection is by designer Go Go Graham in New York. She created a love letter to trans sisterhood in the form of 21 outfits worn by members of her inner circle.

Graham's idea was to make the runway's brand focus on making trans girls feel empowered. "Everything was about the girls," said Gogo afterwards. "They wanted things that fit properly and things made for their body type. Each girl had her individual needs and wanted specific shapes and textures," she added. "I want these girls to be empowered in every aspect of their lives and it makes it easier when you aren't worried about your clothes - that's what I want to provide for these other trans femmes."
“Graham’s collection was not about the creation of clothes or even the fun frivolity of making big one-off fashion statements. Rather it represented a moment in which everyone involved came together to celebrate the importance of every trans girl’s unique story, beauty and individuality”
